It looks like the QNAP you mentioned is just a thunderbolt enclosure that will be connected to a PC to be the storage of your Plex Server. I imagine you'd be fine with setting the storage as RAID 6 for this use case. ![]() Things like a Roku, or Android TV are much more limited in what formats they support, and where you can run into transcoding problems - however they are also much easier to use and setup, especially for non-technical folks. ![]() The Mac Mini *should* support native playback of most file types - it has the CPU horsepower to decode most streams. As you can't control what they bring, I'd definitely look at using the SSD as a caching drive. It most likely is possible as long as they aren't bringing 4k HDR videos. If you have no control over the source material, it's very difficult to say whether supporting that many simultaneous clients is possible. ![]()
